FIFA Stands for Federation Internationale de Football Association.It is also known as the International Federation of Association Football in English.FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) is the governing body of association football on a global scale. FIFA was established on May 21, 1904, with the primary goal of promoting football game.

Since 1930, FIFA has been the governing body responsible for organizing prominent football tournaments worldwide. This includes the prestigious FIFA World Cup for men, as well as the Women's World Cup, which commenced in 1991.FIFA is based in Zurich and is controlled by Swiss law. It has 211 member in national associations.

Responsibilities of FIFA

  • Its purpose is to contineously promoting football game to increase the popularity of football.

FIFA, which stands for the International Federation of Association Football, is like the boss of football all around the world. They also take care of futsal and beach football. FIFA started its job on May 21, 1904, to make football better.

They're the ones who plan and manage the big football tournaments, like the FIFA World Cup for men, and the Women’s World Cup which started in 1991. FIFA's main office is in Zurich, and they follow the laws of Switzerland. They have 211 groups from different countries that are part of FIFA. The head of FIFA in July 2017 was a person named Gianni Infantino.

 

FIFA's Job:
FIFA's main job is to make sure football is played and looked after properly all over the world. They're in charge of putting together really important football competitions like the FIFA World Cup (the big one for men) and the FIFA Women’s World Cup. They've been doing this since 1930 for the men and since 1991 for the women.

They also want to keep making football better and better. FIFA even has a magazine that comes out every month called FIFA 1904. You can read it in a magazine or on the internet for free. And if someone does something wrong in football, FIFA has a special group called the Ethics Committee that checks if they broke the rules.
