What is the full form of SBI?

The State of Bank of India is popularly known as SBI.SBI is India's largest public sector bank and it is also the fifth largest employer in India with nearly 250,000 employees.

SBI maintains thousands of branches throughout India and offices in dozens of countries throughout the world and has over 24000 branches in India.The bank's headquarters are in Mumbai.

In 2017, State Bank of India merged with itself with five of its associate banks -- State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Hyderabad, and State Bank of Patiala — along with Bharatiya Mahila Bank.After the merger, SBI is among the top 50 large banks of the world.
