The Union Cabinet approved Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA) Bill, 2020 with an aim to broaden the reach of loans in higher education.
The cabinet has approved HEFA Bill, 2018 with an aim to broaden the reach of loans in higher education.It seeks to provide funds for financial assistance to students by way of loans and scholarships etc.Currently, this sector is largely regulated by UGC or ministry under central government.
