What is the status of vaccination of COVID - 19 in India?

There are approx five sites across the country which are ready for the third and full and final stage of human trials of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

This last step of the trial is very essential as it is important to have data within the country before the vaccination is launched to Indians.

The world's largest vaccination maker company "The Serum Institute of India" has been chosen by Oxford and AstraZeneca for the manufacturing of vaccination. Once it is ready after clearing every trial to be launched for Indians.

After the 1st phase successful trial on July 20, scientists announced that this vaccine is safe and induces the strong immune within the body. Dozes were given to healthy person aged between 18 to 55 in April and May month. Results were stunning. This vaccine-induced strong antibody and cell immune responses. Scientists expected it could be greater after the second dose.

In the first phase the vaccine had given to a small number of people, in the second stage it had given to hundreds of people, but for third stage trial, it would be given to thousands of people.
