The term UNESCO stands for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. It is an agency of United Nations. It has objective of promoting and maintaining world peace and security through international cooperation in the field of education, art, science and culture. It consists of total 193 member states and 12 associate members. It has its headquarter, situated in Paris, France. It was founded after the scene of second world war to promote world peace, sustainable development and human rights among nations.
