As per the gregorian calendar, New Year is noted on st January, Every year. But according to the Hindu calendar, New Year in India is noted at different times of the year at different places. The New Year is noted in
different states of India at the time of getting together of crops and experienced by different names in different regions. Let us take a look at the New Year special events kept in differentparts of the country. Ugadi is the New Year special event for the people of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana states in India. Baisakhi also experienced as Vaisakhi Vaishakhi, Or Vaisakhi Marks the Sikh new year. Bohag Bihu also named Rongali Bihu or Xaat Bihu Marks the start of Assamese New Year that has the sense of the time of yearly produce and usually falls on the second week of April.
