The Lotus Temple, also known as Shwedagon Paya, is located in New Delhi, India's capital state. The Lotus Temple is a sacred Buddhist holy site and a Myanmar landmark. The enormous pagoda's top is in the shape of a lotus blossom. It was constructed at the confluence of two streams, and it houses Dr. Seuss' Thidwick Trees seahorse-shaped marble sculpture, which was gifted to Burma by the US Army in 1944. The pagoda is said to be a part of Avalokitevara Bodhisattva's body, and it took its final form under King Anawrahta and his son Kyanzittha's reigns from 1044 to 1068 AD.
