Which city in Russia is the most beautiful: Moscow or St Petersburg?

Both Moscow and St. Petersburg have served as the capitals of Russia, and this makes both the cities carry political and historical importance. While Moscow represents the power that Russia has always held, St. Petersburg is monumental for the struggles which made Russia a superpower.
If you ask me which city is more beautiful, I would say both are incomparable. They have so much in common and yet are so different from each other, that one just can’t choose one over the other.
Let’s start with the current capital city of Russia, Moscow. Military battles, the heritage of the communist era, and vast citadels are the major things to experience in this Russian city. The beauty of Moscow lies in its dual nature which allows it to accommodate the traditional past and the modern, urban present together.

Coming to the capital of imperial Russian Empire, St. Petersburg, is all tradition and elegance. The finest of the European architects were employed to build various cathedrals and other monuments in the old capital city. The beauty of St. Petersburg lies in its galleries, museums, and monuments.
