A peninsula is a land that is protruded in the water but connected to the mainland. Greece is that kind of land and hence is known as a Peninsula. The land that’s connected to the mainland has two smaller peninsulas projecting from the major part. Hence it is also known as the Greek peninsula. It also has a stretch of water with many Islands. Even though France is not a peninsula it has Brittany Peninsula.
