Kane Williamson is a New Zealand international cricket player and leading batsman, who plays for the national team. Born January 8th, 1990 in Auckland, New Zealand he has played domestic cricket for Auckland and also plays internationally for England. He is currently contracted to play for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

He made his international debut against South Africa on Boxing Day 2009 and scored a century on his debut. He was made captain of New Zealand's ODI team after Brendon McCullum resigned from his position.
