Who is Mahela Jayawardene?

Mahela jayawardene is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He is one of the successful captain of Sri Lanka . He is born on 27th may 1977 at Colombo Sri Lanka .

He started his career of cricket in 1995. Is known as the right handed batsman of Sri Lanka. Who is the first player who scored over 10,000 runs in the test match. Now he work as a cricketing coach or chairman for Sri Lankan cricket team.

Born on 27th May 1977 at Colombo, Denagamage Praboth Mahela de Silva Jayawardene is a Cricket coach.He has served as the former Cricketer of Sri Lanka.He has been one of the most successful captain of Sri Lanka.He is a right handed batsman & a right arm medium bowler.In the Sri Lankan cricket history Mahela is the first cricketer to score over 10,000 runs in tests & after Sanath Jaysuriya,Mahela is the second player to score more than 10,000 runs in the ODI’s.Presently he is the chairman of Sri Lanka National Sports Council.
