Who is Rani Lakshmi Bai? Why she is famous?

Rani laxmi bai who was born in kashi on November 19, 1835 was the queen of Jhansi. She was named Manikarnika Tambe and was nicknamed Manu. She was brought up in a peshwa (ruler) family and growing up with Peshwa boys made her learn a lot about material arts and was also proficient in sword fighting. She was married to a maharaja and soon after the marriage became widow without the heirs in the family.
Rani laxmi bai was famous for her rebellious nature when she fought against the British army for taking over her kingdom.
