Rani Lakshmi Bai was the rani of Jhansi,the Indian queen of Maratha princely state of Jhansi in North India . She is famous for her courage and determination against British rule.She was one of the leading figures of the Indian rebellion of 1857.Her full name is Manikarnika Tambe.

Rani laxmi bai who was born in kashi on November 19, 1835 was the queen of Jhansi. She was named Manikarnika Tambe and was nicknamed Manu. She was brought up in a peshwa (ruler) family and growing up with Peshwa boys made her learn a lot about material arts and was also proficient in sword fighting. She was married to a maharaja and soon after the marriage became widow without the heirs in the family.
Rani laxmi bai was famous for her rebellious nature when she fought against the British army for taking over her kingdom.

Rani Lakshmibai was an queen of the Maratha state of Jhansi in North India currently present in Jhansi Uttar Pradesh, India.She was born on 19 November 1828 in Varanasi.Rani Lakshmibai was one of the leading figures of the revolt of 1857 for Indian.She became an icon for the freedom struggle against the British for Indian.Rani Lakshmibai, dressed as a cavalry leader, was badly wounded; not wishing the British to capture her body,she is the lady icon not only for women but also for mens.
