Ruskin Bond is the famous Indian author. His most popular novel is The Room on the Roof. This novel has received the John LIewellyn Rhys Prize in 1957. He has authored more than 500 short stories, essays and novels in which 69 books are preferred for children. He was also awarded the Sahitya Akademi Awards in 1992 for his masterpiece on Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra. He was also awarded by Padma Shri award in 1999 and Padma Bhusan in 2014.
