Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was an Indian aerospace scientist. During the years 2002 to 2007, he served as the President of India as well. This made him the 11th President of India. He was Missile Man of India. This is because, he helped in developing various ballistic missiles and he also helped in the development of the launch vehicle technology He also played a very important role in India's Pokhran-II nuclear tests in the year 1998, which was the first ever test since the test done by India in the year 1974. During the 70s and the 90s, Dr. Kalam also developed the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the SLV-III projects. Both these projects turned out to be huge successes.
