The founder of Amul was Dr. Verghese Kurien. He passed away in early hours. He is also a architect of India's White Revolution. It is a largest milk producer in the World. He believed that placing this technology and professional management the farmers, standard of living and millions of our poor people can be improved. He has not done work for our India only, but for developing countries throughout the world.

Amul is a cooperative brand which is based on dairy products. It was established 75 years ago in 1946 by Dr. Verghese Kurien in Anand, Gujarat. It was all started with the exploitation of small farmers by the traders and this led to India's White Revolution and making India the largest seller of milk and milk products.
