The first presidential election was conducted in 1788-89 in the United States. With the unanimous decision George Washington was selected as the President of America . He took the oath on April 30, 1789 in Federal court in Wall Street, New York.
He was born in 1732 in Virginia and belongs to a planter family. He retired in less than 3 years and died from the throat infection.
