Yashpal Sharma was known for his aggressive style of batting, and he scored over 1600 runs in his international career, including two centuries and nine fifties. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup, and he played a crucial role in the tournament, scoring 240 runs in 8 matches. After retiring from cricket, Yashpal Sharma worked as a coach and commentator. He passed away on July 13, 2021, at the age of 66 due to a heart attack.
