Yashpal Sharma was a former Indian cricket player who represented India for 7 years. He was right hand opening batsman and a wicket-keeper. He made his international debut for India in a test match against England in August, 1979 and played his last game in a test match against West Indies in November, 1983. He was an integral part in helping India win the 1983 World Cup. Unfortunately, at the age of 66, he passed away. He will forever be remembered as one of the best batsman of that era.

Yashpal Sharma was an Indian cricketer who played for the Indian cricket team between 1979 and 1985. He was born on August 11, 1954, in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, and he made his international debut in 1979 in a Test match against England. Yashpal Sharma was known for his aggressive style of batting, and he scored over 1600 runs in his international career, including two centuries and nine fifties. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup, and he played a crucial role in the tournament, scoring 240 runs in 8 matches. After retiring from cricket, Yashpal Sharma worked as a coach and commentator. He passed away on July 13, 2021, at the age of 66 due to a heart attack.
