“Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note,” the official statement of Netflix read, announcing that end for Marvel’s Daredevil.

The real, non-PR “real reason” why Netflix pulled the plug on Marvel’s Daredevil is not known. But it came as a shocker to everyone. The show did pretty well in the previous three seasons, getting decent reviews from the critics.
The decision from Netflix comes on the heels of its announcements that it won’t be renewing ‘Luke Cage’ and ‘Iron Fist’, another two of Marvel’s shows, for new seasons.

Again, no one knows WHY they canceled ‘Luke Cage’ and‘Iron Fist’, Comparably, though, these two shows didn’t do as well as Daredevil. So, it could be because of their poor performance Netflix decided to end them.
But that being said, there’s another dimension to the story.

Disney is launching its own Netflix-like subscription base service somewhere in late 2019 called ‘Disney+’. And if you haven’t kept up with it, Disney owns Marvel. As of late, Disney has been pulling films and shows that are licensed to Netflix and other subscription-based TV networks. So, it’s fairly possible that Disney itself pulled Marvel’s Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist from Netflix, to bring them in its own upcoming network. Sounds like an obvious move. If that’s the case then, in the coming days, we might see ‘The Punisher’ and ‘Jessica Jones’ leave Netflix as well for the upcoming Disney+.
In short, this isn’t the end for Daredevil. It can very well return the next year on its new home.
