Traveling to US is no more restricted to the privileged class as the middle-income group of Indians is also indulging in it very often. According to the US commerce department’s report on forecasting of foreign travelers in the US, India is expected to show the highest growth till 2023.
The number of Indian travelers to the US has been showing a steady rise since 2010 after recovering from the global economic meltdown of 2008-09. Low airfares and increase in earnings of the middle-income group are prime reasons for the growing number of Indian travelers to US. The promotional campaigns by the US tourism board have also played a great role. Indians prefer US not only for pleasure travel but a considerable fraction also seek opportunities in business and education.
