Well, let’s start from where we left. Remember what Doctor Strange told Tony Stark in Avengers:Infinity War when he asked him why did he give his Infinity Stone to Thanos?

There we go. He declared right there everything from that point is going to be the endgame, and so it is:

After Marvel Studios surprised us with a more teaser like trailer last evening, the searches for the word Endgame increased to a great degree and Merriam Webster dictionary even tweeted, explain the meaning of the word –the end of something.

For Marvel fans, however, it is not just the end. The first official trailer has left all of us thinking, wondering, pondering, and a bit mourning like Captain America and Black Widow too. I mean just look how depressed everyone is!  Cap is even shown crying for the killed Avengers.

Anyhow, if you are taking the title as MCU’s endgame, you might be wrong. With Captain Marvel scheduled before Avengers: Endgame and Spiderman: Far For Home after it, this might just be the end of a phase, and not of the Marvel movie series. (Source: The Verge)

Talking about the movie specifically, the title seems quite apt. Think about it, Iron Man is stuck in space and looking for a cosmic rescue. Speculations are, Captain Marvel will make her entry for saving Iron Man, as she is a space commander and the former part of a space brigade. Pepper Potts can also have a role here as fans are making theories based on her appearance in a spacesuit at the sets of MCU. Also, it may also be the end of Iron Man, as previous theories suggest that there’s a sacrifice that Iron Man will have to make.

Moving ahead, there is Steve Rogers, clean shaved unlike in Infinity War and in his Winter Soldier’s suit and Black Widow, mourning the lost Avengers and the turn of events after Thano’s snap. Speaking of Thanos, he barely appears in the trailer, which is quite uncanny seeing how dominating his presence war the trailer of the previous Avengers movie. In this one, he's just suggestively shown walking across a field.

Then there comes a mini-monologue from the Cap which is quite suggestive that he is truly preparing for a final war, an endgame.

Apart from these Avengers, we see Dr. Banner and question about his search for Antman whom we last saw getting lost in the Quantum Realm. Thor is again far from the action and seems on some mission with Rocket Raccoon. And after all, we (read Nat) find(s) Hawkeye in the same condition he once found the Black Widow –killing all her enemies recklessly.

Each and every detail points to the end of a phase, and of an era for the Marvel fans.

The trailer, however, leaves us with some questions: First, what will happen to Iron Man, second, how did Antman managed to come out of the Quantum Realm, and third, who's going to help the Avengers fight, Thanos? Is it Captain Marvel or there’s more to it? Certainly, there are things that are boggling everyone’s mind and that’s where MCU successfully sets the stage for the next trailer, and of course for the movie which is going to be released next year of 26th April. Mark the date!
