John Cena has granted the MOST wishes for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

(Make-A-Wish is a non-profit organization in the US that creates wishes for children with a critical illness!)

This alone speaks grand of who John Cena is personally.

He is one of the most popular and most beloved superstars in WWE history. (And, of course, the most commercially successful superstar, bringing the largest share of the company's revenue for over a decade!)

His larger-than-life persona outshines even that of Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior in the 80s. Baring, probably, Stone Cold Steve Austin, nobody comes even close to the position John Cena continues to hold in the WWE universe.

(And this is quite a surprise… for he isn’t necessarily the most athletically gifted. In fact, he has been booed out buildings for his "five moves of doom". And his microphone skill, although exceptional, is only at par when compared with that of Rowdy Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, and even now Kevin Owens.)

So, now, coming to your question… John Cena is NOT hated. People do not hate him.

There are many dynamics here that you must understand.

First, a part of the crowd in the arenas would boo the "CHARACTER" of John Cena and NOT necessarily him personally.

John Cena is considered as the poster child of the PG era that prevails in the WWE right now. And, with the audience still hung to the Attitude era -- that was defined with some of the most historic feuds ever like Stone Cold and The Rock, Shawn Michaels and Triple H, AND The Undertaker and (Masked) Kane -- so many of these viewers hate this PG era. So, naturally, they dislike its poster-child.

In addition, John Cena has always been a favorite of the WWE management. (Chairman Vince McMahon's, in particular!) So, he was always pushed harder in the main events and championships. Many viewers didn’t appreciate this. This perception followed online that John Cena is killing the other talents. So, they started disliking him.

Also, the character of John Cena is built as this Superman-type good guy who always beat the bad guys. This character, which followed his previous "edgy" character of Doctor of Thuganomics, was created primarily to appeal the younger audience; around this same time, the strategy of the WWE shifted towards younger fan base. So, the adult fan base didn’t really much appreciate this character. After all, there were once a fan of badass superstars and factions like Stone Cold and Ministry of Darkness.

All these reasons, along with his over-exposed face on television and advertisements, summed to make many dislike the character of John Cena.

But "hate", I don’t believe the WWE universe hate John Cena. It was his written character that influenced the audience for "boo" and "yay". The WWE management played along with the character to invoke the maximum reaction from the crowd. "Let's Go Cena" and "Cena Sucks" chants, introduced to the universe by Cena himself, was/is a prime example of the company trying to get maximum emotions from the viewers. They even introduced "Cena sucks" merchandise, which sold big, making them a load of money.

It was all a part of a written script for the character of John Cena.

He isn’t hated. He is, as said, one of the most beloved WWE superstars of all time. In fact, we have a generation growing up that idolizes him.

With him now away from the WWE, working in Hollywood, he is massively missed in the ring. More so today than even when the ratings of RAW and SmackDown are sinking to new lows.

John Cena is massively popular. He is massively loved in real life. And if the Hollywood success story of Dwayne Johnson tells us anything, we can expect to see John Cena become the most hailed celebrity of all time.

I will compose the appropriate response dependent on why I hate (detest is too off-base word) John Cena (The Pro Wrestling Character, not the individual):

In the new period, where most fans see Pro Wrestling is arranged, not genuine, and requires distinctive scope of aptitudes, we need and we love to see the more gifted and increasingly talented person to make to the highest point of ladder(basic human instinct obviously.) Speaking of Cena, we are on the whole mindful he is acceptable, yet not excellent and practically 50% of the present program can embarrass him with regards to in ring capacity. Likewise I accept he is an incredible talker, yet that is additionally evident that his promotions are a remarkable same (perhaps you can censure his contrivance for this). I truly like his appeal and the manner in which he can lift the group yet at the same time that is insufficient to finish you as an expert grappler when you have various others (extraordinary notices Bryan, Rollins, Owens) holding up in the line behind you to (as HHH says) "Get The Brass Ring" and be the top person of the organization.

Besides, the contrivance. I began viewing WWE all the time from 2010. Furthermore, Cena is totally same. Not a solitary heel turn. Just thing that changed in him was that T-Shirt Color and Print (Fruity Pebbles, does that ring something in your mind). What's more, due to this the character developed faltering and weak and weak before my (and numerous other viewer's) eyes. Additionally in the event that you look carefully, every one of his matches are for the most part of same example, you dont expect anything energizing from Cena. His matches are consistently of the request Hero Starts Good, Hero loses control, Hero gets thrashed by trouble maker, Hero was going to lose yet he by one way or another stays in, Hero realizes that theres only one more attempt he can give, Hero gives his everything in the last attempt, Hero succeeds, Hero Wins." Instead of Pro Wrestling Match it feels progressively like a Children's Bedtime Story with the good "Never Give Up". So summarizing, neither one of the hes is excessively acceptable, nor he is excessively energizing, so-

While this is positively not a complete rundown, I notice around 7 things that cause fans to hate Cena.

1. He's not a "genuine individual." when in doubt of thumb, the expert grapplers who get over most effectively with the fans are intensified renditions of themselves. Models incorporate Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, HHH, and most as of late CM Punk. It's impressively simpler to become put resources into an entertainer when the truth of their character permits you to all the more viably suspend incredulity. For Cena's situation, it's difficult to envision a person who looks, talks, and acts like him being paid attention to in reality.

2. He dresses frightfully. Cena is very unfashionable. He dresses in conspicuous shaded T-shirts, baseball tops, and wristbands. He wears jorts. As he goes to the ring he looks more like a larger than usual youth baseball player than a master grappler.

3. He makes terrible wisecracks. Cena has generally pandered to a more youthful group. This implies he will make wisecracks about crap, awful breath, being gay, and so forth. The jokes are regularly not amusing and as such numerous in the group see him just like a numskull.
