Changes aimed at preventing fraud and increasing fairness in selection are likely to have a major impact on immigrants seeking work under the new H-1B visa lottery process. The new system prioritizing unique applicants over multiple registrations from the same employer significantly lowers the odds for those who previously relied on multiple tries to get in. Furthermore, more stringent rules and scrutiny could result in higher denial rates and ultimately make it harder for applicants to obtain a visa. If the new regulations give priority to certain industries or job roles, this may also result in lower chances of selection for some professionals. Small businesses and startups that hire H-1B workers may face more compliance requirements, discouraging them from seeking foreign-born talent. All these changes together introduce new complexities when it comes to immigrants and employment opportunities in the U.S.

Companies in the USA, who are hiring foreigners through H1-B application will need to electronically pre-register for the H1-B lottery which is to be held annually and then they are required to file a full-fledged application Presently, just to ensure an entry to the lottery petitions needs to be filed with all the supporting documents and evidence. The documentation process is very exhaustive and time-consuming. The companies need to invest a lot of time into this entire process.
