Coming to some precious metals like gold which usually takes the most attention. But silver is not in the back. It is not a slouch either.

Investing in silver though comes with few turbulence as we all know that this market is notoriously more volatile than gold. Yes though it is evident that gold has a larger market than silver and has higher market liquidity. However, in industries these days demand for silver is now tending wildly to fluctuate which can be sending its value in increasing directions.

Letsdiskuss

It is historically proven that silver is more volatile than gold. Its demand is extensive, its supply currently is coming out to around a billion ounces according to the statistics available in the report. Its demand is from the industries. The demand for silver fluctuates depending on the company's operation and that is mostly cyclical. To the utter surprise, silver, today trades at rupees 60,250 as of 27th of September 2021 hitting an all-time high of rupees 74000 per kg in the year of 2011 according to the reports. It goes on without speaking volumes about the highly volatile nature of silver.

It can make silver both a good profit-making commodity as well as a risky asset. Half of the total silver is being used mainly in heavy industries and high technology including tablets, smartphones, automobile electrical systems, solar panel cells, and others. Therefore, it can be easily said that silver is more sensitive to economic changes than gold, and has limited uses beyond jewelry and for investment purposes. As the economy is taking off, the demand for silver is growing.
