Every year on 2nd October Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated as the birthday of Gandhiji.He was born on 2nd October 1869 at Porbandar.This day is the national holiday all over India.Mahatma Gandhi was a great hero who fought for the Independence of India.He taught the lesson of non violence.He sacrificed his life for India’s Independency.Thus,in honour to pay him tribute,every year his birthday(2nd October)is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti.
