The2018 season of the IPL will be the eleventh season of the IPL. This season will be held from 7 April to 27 May and will see the return of the two most favorite teams Chennai Super Kingsand the Rajasthan Royals after serving two years of suspension for the involvement of their respective owners in the 2013 IPL betting case.

The BCCI is ready to roll out the Decision Review System (DRS) and has given the green signal to introduce the system in the upcoming IPL eleven season. Earlier, the BCCI was not in favour of DRS but for the first time they have introduced this system in this exciting league.

The Umpire Decision Review System is a technology-based system that was first introduced in the test cricket for the sole purpose of reviewing controversial decisions made by the on-field umpiresto check whether a batsman is out or not. The system was first tested in an India v Sri Lanka match in 2008.

Yes, the Indian Premier League will continue to use DRS (Decision Review System) this year. DRS has been a regular part of the tournament for many seasons, and it plays a big role in making umpiring decisions more accurate. Teams usually get limited reviews per innings, and they can challenge on-field decisions like LBW, catch back, or in some cases wide.

The system uses technology like UltraEdge and Hawk-Eye to help the third umpire make the final call. Fans enjoy DRS as it adds more drama and fairness to the conclusion of the match. Players also trust the process as it reduces major mistakes at crucial moments.
