Sindhi language does not belong to official language of any of the states in India. It is one of the scheduled language recognized by the central government. The language has been evolved from an ancient Prakrit brought to Sindh by settlers from northeast and northwest India. The language is written in the Arabic script, 70% of Sindhi words are of Sanskrit origin. Sindh is the language of the Pakistani province of Sindh.
