Yes, you can request an SBI address change online if your account is linked to Internet Banking. In many cases, this is the easiest way to update your address without visiting a branch.

To change your address through SBI Internet Banking:

  1. Log in to OnlineSBI.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Click Personal Details/Change Address.
  4. Enter your new address.
  5. Upload a valid address proof if requested.
  6. Submit the request and follow the verification instructions shown on the screen.

SBI may ask for documents such as:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • Voter ID Card
  • Other officially accepted address proof documents

If you use the SBI YONO app, check whether the address update option is available for your account, as SBI periodically expands services through YONO.

Keep in mind that an address change is a KYC-related update. Depending on your account type, branch, and verification status, SBI may approve the request online or ask you to visit your home branch for document verification.

A practical tip: make sure the address you enter matches the address shown on your proof document. Small differences can sometimes delay verification.

If online submission is unavailable or your request remains pending, you can visit any SBI branch with your original address proof and a photocopy. Branch staff can guide you through the update process and confirm whether additional KYC formalities are required.

Hi,

As per my knowledge, you can't change your personal information online. For that you need to visit the branch, they will ask you to write an application for their reference and then they will change the info from their end. This is the procedure.
