Your question makes me wanna go back and watch the new Avengers: Endgame trailer one more time. The latest, and probably the last Endgame trailer is so cool, nostalgic, and power packed that it’s hard to get over it.
Coming to your question, yes, there could be some chances of this Avengers Theory being true if we analyze the last, and the only humorous scene in the two and a half minute long trailer that Marvel Studios released last evening.
Were not we all Marvel fans marveling over the fact that there is someone in the Avenger team who could make Thor smile? At least I was.
My doubts, though, have been stronger had this not been the last Avenger movie, the real Endgame. Then we could have hoped for some more drama in the relationship of two of the most powerful Avengers, just like Black Widow and Dr. Banner. Their romance started with the first Avengers movie and reached its peak in the Age of Ultron. Then in Infinity War, we see no such thing, and all the stories were about loss and heartbreaks.

Loss and heartbreaks are the two things which seem to be dominating Avengers: Endgame
too, as is evident from the trailer, Avengers finally having something very big to Avenge. Among all this, the last scene brings a fresh wave of air, telling us Captain Marvel
is here in the movie for more than one greater goods.
So even if we don’t see Carol Danvers and the God ending up as a thing, in the end, I am quite sure of their timing and bonding bringing an extra edge to the movie. The trailer has a scene where Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Antman, Iron Man, Nebula, and War Machine are in brand new Quantum Realm suits. Out of the surviving Avengers, Hulk, Thor, and Captain Marvel are not in this team going on a mission. So possibly, they are on a different mission (maybe dealing with Thanos as the other Avengers go to the Quantum Realm). This mean Captain Marvel and Thor can be seen together in most of the movie, and this theory of mine speaks a lot.

So yes, I am already shipping them but let’s see what happens when Avengers: Endgame finally releases on April 26th.
