This can be solved with a simple rule of three.
if in 1 hour there are 60 minutes, how many minutes are there in 24 hours?!
1 h ------------> 60 min
24 h ----------> x min
just multiply half by the extremes.
1 · x = 24 · 60
x = 1440
so, in 24 hours, you have 1440 minutes.
