In 2021, domestic airfares in India were affected by government-imposed minimum and maximum fare bands, introduced when domestic flights restarted during the COVID-19 pandemic. These limits were intended to protect passengers from very high fares while also helping airlines manage their financial difficulties.

The fare was not simply calculated by distance. Airlines used different fare categories, and the final ticket price could vary depending on the route, demand, booking time, airline, and other charges. Therefore, there was no single fixed price per kilometre for domestic flights.

The 2021 fare restrictions were temporary measures introduced during an unusual period for Indian aviation. Under normal conditions, domestic airfares are largely market-driven, with airlines setting fares based on factors such as operating costs, demand, and competition.

So, when discussing June 1, 2021 specifically, it is better to treat the fare figures as historical 2021 fare rules, rather than as current Indian flight prices.

The June 1, 2021 increase was due to revised government fare bands for domestic flights during the COVID period. The maximum fare depended on the flight distance, with differents slabs for different stages.

The latest sensation, Artificial Intelligence is said to have the capability of ending poverty in the world. And of many ways that can happen, including the role it can play in the education sector.

Poor countries can use AI solutions to elevate the standards of their education system with intuitiveness and higher efficiency. Replacing teachers and traditional education standards, they can go beyond the needed scope to teach students much more than curriculum. AI systems can be more efficient in teaching tough concepts even to the weaker students.

Plus, education can become much cheaper. So those who can’t afford basic education (whose number is very high in poor countries), even can learn.

In short, everything in the education field could be much more efficient, quick, and cheap.

However, the happening of that in poverty-stricken countries seems like a difficult task for a few years moving forward. Because these countries still have poor ***** of internet and computers. They still have very little idea of AI and other cutting-edge technology. So unless you understand something, you won’t use it, would you!?

The community as a whole must be trained to welcome such new-age technology. Governments must invest heftily in building the right infrastructure and bringing transformational change in society, which, honestly, sounds like a fanatical idea.

But yeah, technology can easily improve the state of the education system by introducing AI and training communities for such change. But that is only possible if the governments of poor countries want it to happen.

Spike in air travel charges from 1st June
The Government of India has made changes in the fares of Air Travel in the country. The country will witness a hike in the prices of air tickets, with effect from 1st June. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has decided to increase the lower limit of the fares to 16% from 13%. The government took this step in response to the reduction of travelers due to the second wave of COVID-19 in the country. The government has taken this step to help the Airlines overcome the loss it has witnessed due to the second wave of the deadly disease COVID-19.

Government last revised the charges of Air Travel in February 2021 from 10% to 13%. This time the changes have been made only in the lower limits of the travel tickets.
Current change in the charges of the domestic travel are as follows;
Flights less than 40 minutes will cost Rs.2600
Flights of duration 40 minutes to 60 minutes will cost Rs.3,300.
Flights of duration 60 minutes to 90 minutes will cost Rs. 4,000.
Flights of duration 90 minutes to 120 minutes will cost Rs.4,700
Flights of duration 150 minutes to 180 minutes will charge Rs.6,100
The flights of duration 180 minutes to 210 minutes will cost Rs.7,400

The hike in the price of domestic flights is the result of the reduction of passengers in the airlines, which witnessed an increase in the COVID-19 cases in the whole country. The ticket charges will not include taxes and ADF. The recent increase in the fares of the air tickets is done by considering the capacity of the passengers.
