Taj Mahal is generally open from sunrise to sunset, six days a week. The monument remains closed every Friday for general visitors because prayers are held at the mosque inside the complex.

Night visits are available in limited batches and require advance booking.
Early morning is often considered the best time to visit because the weather is cooler and the crowd is smaller. The Taj Mahal also looks different throughout the day due to changing sunlight and marble reflections.
