Peninsulas are land surrounded by seas and oceans from three sides and one side connected to the mainland. There are peninsulas in every continent as the earth is only covered with one third part by land and the remaining by water. Peninsulas are a part of the land that is protruding into the water. Europe has the most peninsulas in the world as it is is surrounded by Arctic ocean, Atlantic ocean and Mediterranean sea from the three sides.
