The modern Olympic Games or Olympics are leading international sporting events featuring summer and winter sports competitions in which thousands of athletes from around the world participate in a variety of competitions.The Olympic Games are normally held every four years, alternating between the Summer and Winter Olympics every two years in the four-year period. Their creation was inspired by the ancient Olympic Games held in Olympia, Greece from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD.

Olympics which are also known as Games of the Olympiad. These are considered as the important international multi-sports events. These are held once every 4 years. The first ever Olympics were held in 1896 in Greece. The authorities of the International Olympic Committee, every year organise these events and look for a host city for preparation. In this event, different countries from all over the world represent themselves in different fields of games and are awarded with gold, bronze and silver medals. There are two Olympics held, Summer and Winter.
