Interview room, saamne teen serious chehre, AC ki thand, aur pehla sawaal: “So, tell me about yourself.” Aur aap shuru ho jaate ho, “Mera naam Rahul hai, main Kanpur se hoon, mere papa bank mein hain...” Ruko! Yahin pe zyada freshers galti kar dete hain. Yeh sawaal aapki biography nahi, aapka trailer hai.

Interviewer Asal Mein Kya Jaanna Chahta Hai?
Woh dekhna chahta hai ki aap clearly bol paate ho ya nahi, aapki kya skills hain, aur aap is job ke liye fit kyun ho. Aapke family tree mein usse koi interest nahi. Yeh sawaal poore interview ka mood set karta hai.

Best Formula: Present, Past, Future

  • Present: Aap abhi kya ho? Degree, college aur main skill.

  • Past: Aapne kya kiya? Projects, internship, ya koi achievement.

  • Future: Aap aage kya karna chahte ho, aur yeh company us safar mein kaise fit hoti hai.

Bas, 60 se 90 second mein khatam. Isse lamba kiya toh interviewer ka dhyaan WhatsApp pe chala jaayega!

Ek Sample Answer
“Good morning. I’m Priya Sharma, a final-year B.Com student from Delhi University with a strong interest in financial analysis. During my internship at a CA firm, I worked on GST filings and helped prepare reports for over 20 clients, which taught me attention to detail and deadlines. I’ve also completed a certification in Advanced Excel. I’m now looking to start my career in a growing company like yours, where I can apply my analytical skills and keep learning.”

Dekha? Na family history, na hobbies ki lambi list, sirf kaam ki baat.

Yeh Galtiyan Mat Kijiye

  • Resume ko word-to-word padhna. Woh toh unke haath mein already hai!

  • Ratta maarke robot ki tarah bolna. Natural rahiye.

  • “Main hardworking aur honest hoon” bina kisi example ke bolna.

  • Personal problems, salary ya negative baatein shuru mein hi le aana.

  • “Sir, sab kuch toh resume mein likha hai” bolna. Yeh line sunke HR ka dil toot jaata hai!

Pro Tips
Answer ko job description ke hisaab se badaliye. IT job mein technical projects highlight kijiye, sales job mein communication skills. Ek strong hook rakhiye, jaise koi achievement jo interviewer ko aage sawaal poochne pe majboor kare. Aaine ke saamne ya phone pe record karke practice kijiye, aur suniye ki aap confident lag rahe ho ya nervous. Smile aur eye contact mat bhooliye, yeh aadha kaam kar dete hain.

Yaad rakhiye, “Tell me about yourself” interview ka pehla impression hai, aur pehla impression hi aakhri impression ban jaata hai. Toh is sawaal ko darr nahi, apna pitch moment samjhiye. Interviewer ko bata dijiye ki aap kyun is job ke perfect candidate ho!
