What is the Black eye fungus?

In India , growth is seen in the number of patients suffering from Black Eye Fungus. Black fungus is also known as Mucormycosis. Mucormycosis is a very rare kind of infection. In India the fungal infection is increasingly seen in the people with the weak immune system. The disease is mainly caused by mucor mould which is mainly found in plants, soil , manure ,etc. The fungal infection has appeared as post COVID complication.
