Genre classification is honestly old thinking now. Modern Indian content especially blends everything - Gully Boy was hip-hop but also romance and drama.
Dumb thing is streaming platforms still force you to pick genres even though people's taste is mixed. You like some Bollywood, some Korean dramas, some English content - why reduce that to one genre? The system made sense when you had limited options and needed to organize things, but now it just boxes people in.
An artist gets stuck as "comedy creator" and can't do serious stuff because algorithm and audience expectations. Genre is limiting more than helpful at this point.
