When first world war started?

First World War which was cut short and known as WW 1, was fought between two groups of European countries.The Central power consisted of Germany,Austria-Hungary and Turkey, and the allies were France ,Russia and Great Britain. World War 1 was also known as the Great War, and it began in 1914 and ended in 1918 .the Allies won the war after 4 years of fights and millions of deaths of soldiers and civilians.The immediate reason of the World war was the killing of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. A terrorist group from Serbia was behind the murder and hence Austria declared war on Serbia.
