What is the eligibility for state level cricket?

Cricket is the popular game around the world,state level cricket is one of the route towards play for country.Usually after every season,State selectors pick 1–3 new comers for Ranji trophy.Usually the selection for Ranji team is direct.They only consider talented players from University level and age catagory state teams. It is really hard to get selected directly from district team without playing for state team if you do well in ranji you can chance to represent country or play IPL.
