What is SEO?
SEO is the abbreviation of Search Engine Optimization, and there's nothing really mystical about it. You may have heard a lot about SEO and how it works, but basically, it is a measurable and repeatable process that is used to send signals to search engines that are worth showing your pages in the Google index.
Basically, Google uses a complex mathematical formula called algorithm to give a score to each website and to people who search on Google to determine which website should best rank according to what people are looking for. Think of the algorithm as a collection of empty cubes. A cube gives you a score for the quality of your site, a cube gives you a score for the number of sites linked to you, a cube gives you a score for how people trust you. Your job is to fill more cubes in the algorithm than any other website. It can affect the ranking of your search engine by getting the highest score in terms of quality of your site, of getting the highest score in terms of the authority of your website, of getting the highest score in terms of the most store reliable for that search that people are looking for. The good thing is that there are hundreds of cubes, and for each of these compartments, these scores together in the algorithm to find out where you classify is an opportunity for you to complete and classify them better. Therefore, optimizing your site for search results really means getting the highest score in as many points as you can.
Now, some groups are worth more than others, and the three main groups you should know for search rankings are quality, trust, and authority. So, quality: what Google is trying to measure when it's trying to figure out which sites should rank is to offer something valuable or unique or interesting to Google search engines. For example good content: if you are selling T-shirts and you are using the same description that all other T-shirt sellers are using on your website, then you are not offering anything exclusive to Google search engines. Although their shirts can look very good, the content is the same as everyone else's, so Google has no way of saying that their T-shirts or their T-shirt site are better than anyone else's. Instead, offer people interesting content. For example: offer them the possibility to personalize their shirt. Give them information on how to wash it. What is the number of threads? Is it resistant to stains? Is this something you should use in the summer or is it heavier for the winter? Give information to people, or even be more creative. Have people share photos of themselves wearing the shirt. Create a community of people who are interested in your product. Make a famous person use it and share that photo online. Do something different, do something unique. Show Google that you are different and better than the other search results.
Trust is another important hub that you should keep in mind when trying to rank your site on Google. Google does not want to show any website to its search engines, wants to show the best website to its search engines and, therefore, wants to show reliable sites. One thing that Google has indicated that it likes to do is penalize sites or stores or companies that constantly have bad reviews, so if you have a lot of bad reviews, over time, Google will not be able to show your site in your rankings because Google does not he does it. I do not want to show those sites to their search engines. So try the Google algorithm that you are trustworthy. Get other highly authorized websites to link with you. Get newspaper articles, industry links, links to other trusted sites: partners, suppliers, satisfied customers. Ask them to link to your website to show that you are highly reliable and reliable.
And finally, the other really important cube is an authority. Google wants to show sites that are popular. If they can show the most popular shirt seller to people looking to buy shirts online, that's the site they want to show. So you must convince Google: send them signals that your site is the most popular for the type of shirts you sell. Fill this bucket by building a fan base. Create a social network, have people connect with you, have people share their t-shirt pages on their social network saying "I want this!", Have people comment, leave testimonials, show pictures of themselves using the product or using the product, create a fan base and then gather them to link with you and talk about you. This is how you show Google that you are trustworthy and authoritative.
