This is so simple honestly.

  • Boil about a liter of milk.
  • Once it starts boiling add lemon juice while stirring.
  • The milk will immediately curdle into white solids and yellowish whey.
  • Let it sit for a minute then strain through a cloth or cheesecloth.
  • Gather the cloth corners and squeeze out extra liquid.
  • Take the wet paneer curds and wrap in the cloth.
  • Press it under a heavy object like a book for 30 minutes to an hour to remove remaining liquid.
  • Once it solidifies cut into cubes and you have paneer.

You can use this warm or let it cool first. Store in the fridge for days. The entire process takes less than an hour. Use fresh whole milk for best results. This paneer tastes fresh and you save tons of money compared to buying it.
