Narendra Modi recently launched an overall travel card service in Ahmedabad. Under this service, one card can be used to travel by public conveyance, anywhere in the country.
To start with the benefits of this service, now paying for the public conveyance will become easy for the citizens, as the process is going to get centralized. The service also includes the addition of a new feature in the credit and debit cards of all the banks.
Now you will be able to use your debit and credit cards in the PoS machines at metro stations or make it function as our metro smart cards.

The major benefit of One Nation One Card will be the effect on our pockets and travel expenses. The hike in metro fare until now was the result of the employment of foreign technology for collecting the metro fare.
Now the collection will be done through the indigenous technology.
Delhi Metro, reportedly, has started the functioning of the Automatic Face Collection counters (AFCs), which are designed indigenously. So not the only the entry and exit in the Delhi Metro have become seamless and hassle-free, but also save India from paying a royalty to the foreign technology providers.
Also, India has become one of the few countries using indigenous AFCs for collecting travel fare.
