Griha Pravesh Pooja is a traditional Hindu ceremony performed before occupying a new house or a newly renovated house. The word "Griha Pravesh" literally means "entering a new house". It is considered an auspicious event and is performed to seek the blessings of the gods and goddesses for the prosperity and well-being of the family.
The ceremony involves a series of rituals and prayers performed by a Hindu priest. It typically starts with a purification ceremony, where the priest cleanses the house with holy water and removes any negative energy or evil spirits that may have been lingering in the space. Then, the priest performs a havan (fire ritual) and recites mantras to invite positive energy into the house.
