World Cup 2019 witnessed so many such incidents which were never seen in the history of World Cup. The battle of World Cup was to be ended with the finale played between the host team England and New Zealand. Nothing could be anticipated beforehand as both the teams entered the final of World Cup for the first time ever and both were chasing their first World Cup win.

Having to bat first, New Zealand scored 241 runs and the England too chased the target in the same time, bringing the match to a tie.
Now according to the rules of ICC, if the match gets tied, both the teams are given one super over each to play. Now call it dramatic or filmy, even the super over was tied as New Zealand gave a neck to neck competition to the host team.
Now the decision taken by ICC to choose the winner shocked everyone. The team with the most number of boundaries (fours) was to be declared the winner. And with this, England won its first World Cup and that too in its own home. The decision was quite unpredictable but even New Zealand accepted it humbly.
