I once had a very long trip with my family, and trust me, if the trip gets excessively long, it’s no fun at all. It was on the trip of Himachal Pradesh that we went and I was full excited in the beginning.
The sight of hills and mountains, the lush green views, and the pleasant weather was a breathtaking experience, and initially, I was enjoying to my fullest.
We went to Dalhousie, Mcleod Ganj, Manali, Shimla, and many other places. The first 5-6 days were all singing in the car, enjoying rides, and sightseeing. I enjoyed the trek, the rafting, eating out authentic dishes of mountains, and sleeping in hotels rooms.
But on the 7th day, all the excitement faded away.
I was bored and frustrated of narrow roads where our car struggled many times behind roadways buses. I was also bored of high hills which seemed to be magnificent to me before. Hills and mountains started making me dizzy and nauseous, and I started missing the wide and spacious roads of Delhi. I decided I want to be at home and all the charm of the vacations on hills flew away.
When I went on another vacation on hill after a year, however, I was as excited as the first time. Hills do have some charm of their own which do attract you, no matter what, but every person has its own capacity of being away from home.
