Under the Code on Social Security, eligible women who have worked at least 80 days in the 12 months before expected delivery get paid maternity leave up to 26 weeks, with up to 8 weeks before delivery.
Adoptive and commissioning (surrogacy) mothers get 12 weeks of paid leave. During leave, they receive pay equal to their average daily wage. Employers also must support basic facilities like nursing breaks.
