Instant Healthy Snacks You Can Make at Home?

Hunger craving is very natural around the evening time. This is the time when we look for something to eat that pacifies our hunger. Usually making Chivda is a long process, but I am telling you the recipe that is instant and healthy at the same time. Those who are conscious about their weight can have this snack in lunch as well.

Ingredients Required ( For 4 People approx.) : 2 cup puffed rice, 1/2 cup roasted peanuts, 2 green chillies, 2 teaspoon refined oil, 1 large tomato, 2 tablespoon coriander leaves, 1 cup brown rice poha, 1/2 cup broken wheat (dalia), 2 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 large onion

Step 1

To make this instant Chivda, first peel and finely chopped onion, tomato, green chilies and coriander leaves in a separate bowl.

Step 2 

Now, take puffed rice along with other ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix them well. Add salt according to your taste along with 2 teaspoons of refined oil.

Step 3

Mix well all the ingredients and you can have it with a warm cup of tea.

On the name of healthy snacks there are many food items available in the market and people binge on them because they think “Healthy tag with them really makes them Healthy”. But, a very few snacks that give you healthy contents otherwise healthy and snack can’t come in one line. However, if you crave for snacks during evening time, you can go with Microwave popcorn that is very instant to make and healthy at the same time.

Ingredients Required: 1/2cup unpopped corn, 1 teasppoon vegetable oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt.

Step 1

In a bowl mix unpopped corn and oil together and pour the coated popcorns into a brown lunch sack and sprinkle salt into them according to your taste.

Step 2

Fold the top of the lunch sack twice to seal its mouth and cook it on microwave on full power for 2-3 minutes until you hear the popping sound. Carefully open the bag to avoid steam and pour them into a bowl.
