According to the estimates by Ericson, 5G subscriptions will reach billions by 2024.
As of now, some countries have already seen the advent of 5G in bits and pieces. Among them are North America, USA, Canada, South Korea, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, etc.
Having seen smaller iterations, North America will launch 5G network completely in 2020, while Verizone, C Spire, and Starry are providing the advanced network to US. In Canada, Vancouver will be the first location to get the access of it.
Topping all of these countries is the Asian country South Korea which is ahead of everyone in the race of 5G. SK Telecom, LG Plus, and KT are the three companies that collaborated and brought 5G network to the country. Initially, the service was provided only to selected business companies, but later it was made accessible to all via Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.
In Kuwait, 5G has been launched by Zain and Ooredoo. Apart from these, VIVA started providing the network service later.
Talking of India, the launch of 5G was announced in 2017, and it is expected to be accessible for the country by 2020. Vodqafone, Reliance Jio, and BSNL are actively working to bring in the network as soon as possible.
