1. Surfing
Sri Lanka is a tenderfoot surfers heaven. Hikkaduwa on Sri Lanka's southwest coast is the mainstream spot where we had a go at surfing.
The sandy dampen pads your fall and the waves are not the colossal threatening funnels found in Hawaii or Australia. Indeed, even master surfers can live it up in Sri Lanka however.
On the west coast, there is a prevalent shoreline that offers greater and better waves called Aragum Bay. This is the place you'll discover a great deal of surfers hanging out holding on to get a wave.
The season is not the same as Hikkaduwa's in any case, so make a point to check when surfing on the west coast is prevalent.
