International airports have international aircrafts that travel between two different countries or regions simultaneously but with respect to their respective international boundaries rather than their national ones.
The term "international airport" has in recent years become a common word and is used as a synonym for airports that are located outside of the national boundaries of the country they are in. This means, for example, an international airport would be located outside of the borders of United States. International airports differ from domestic airports because they handle international flights which consist of arriving and departing from countries other than the one it is located in. Domestic airports only handle flights within their own country.
