To make red sauce pasta, first boil pasta in salted water until soft but slightly firm. Drain the water and keep the pasta aside.

For the sauce, heat olive oil or butter in a pan and sauté chopped garlic and onions. Add tomato puree or finely chopped tomatoes and cook until the sauce thickens. Then add salt, black pepper, chili flakes, oregano, and a little ketchup if you want a slightly sweet taste.

You can also add vegetables like capsicum, corn, mushrooms, or olives. Mix the boiled pasta into the sauce and cook for 2–3 minutes so the flavors blend properly.

Top it with cheese or fresh herbs before serving. Red sauce pasta is popular because of its tangy, spicy, and rich tomato flavor.

Ingredients:
 
• Penne Pasta: 2 cup
• Oil: as per requirement
• Salt: according to taste
• Capsicum (chopped): 1
• Tomatoes (diced): 3-4
• Onion: 1 (cut vertically in thin pieces); 1 (chopped)
• Garlic: 5-6 buds; 3-4 buds (chopped)
 
Method:
 
• Boil 2 cups of water in a pan and cook tomatoes in it.
 
• Add onion and garlic and season it with a pinch of salt.
 
• Let it boil.
 
• After the tomatoes are boiled properly, cool it and grind to make a puree.
 
• Heat oil in a different pan, and fry chopped onion and chopped garlic to it. Then add the tomato puree, stir for a while and keep it aside.
 
• Boil pasta with some salt.
 
• Drain the leftover water.
 
• Add the tomato sauce prepared to it and stir well, taking care that the pasta does not get smashed.
 
• You can also season it with oregano if you like.

• Onions (chopped): 2
• Tomatoes (chopped): 4
• Bay leaves: 2
• Basil leaves: 2
• Garlic: 10-12 buds
